SK hynix expands M15 production line, and NAND production capacity is further improved

Recently, according to Korean media Ddaily, SK hynix will fully operate the M15 by expanding production equipment in the existing M15 factory area starting from Q3 this year. It is reported that since the end of last year, M15 has been put into clean room construction, and it is expected that after the completion in October 2022, the related equipment will begin to be moved.

In addition to SK hynix, Kioxia recently announced that it will begin construction of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant K2 at its Kitakami plant in Iwate, Japan to expand its 3D FLASH Memory BiCS FLASH production capacity. Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in April 2022 and is expected to be completed in 2023.

At present, SK hynix's main production bases for NAND products are: M11, M12, M15 in Cheongju, and M14 in Icheon.
